Fallen Leaves

Warning: You are about to enter the sick and demented world of Mackenzie's Mind. Be prepared for anything. Don't think she's crazy because she will probably bite you.

The cool forest glowed with a misty haze. I see a beau
tiful girl in a long white gown gracefully gliding across the hard dirt ground. She giggles and looks at me, but she's too far away to get a good look at. She coaxes me to come near. I begin to run towards her out of instinct, weaving through the trees. I continue running even though I've already lost site of her. Suddenly a melody of a laugh rings out behind me. I turn, startled by the surprise and to the beauty of her familiar voice, but when I see her, she's lying on the ground in an uncomfortable position. I kneel and brush her wispy brown hair from her pale face and gasp. Her beautiful lifeless face gleamed of my love. I fall by crying which turns into screams as she rises from the ground, blood on her lips and dripping from her soulless smile. She inches towards me in a stiff motion. I scatter to my feet stirring the freshly fallen leaves on the ground. Running, my heart pounding, my breath quick and short, trees flying by, I imagine my once living beautiful love. Why has this happened? Why do her eyes have no life? I trip. The culprit to my fall was a body of a large man, missing his jugular. A bloody black hole replaced where his adams apple should be. On my hands, springing up for flight again, she catches up. She smiles wide as the blood from her mouth soaks her white gown. She staggers towards me unsyncronized. Her beautiful hair is matted with leaves and mud. How she still looks beautiful, lifeless, rotting, and covered in mud. Why must she be taken from me and given back to me like this? My feet are frozen. My heart boils. The forest clearing is so close, yet my one and only love is back. Back for me. God knew how much I loved her and was willing to give her back to me! This is a sign. My feet automatically inch towards her. I shuffle through the leaves, my arms spread open for her. She comes and embraces me placing her head on my shoulder. A single tear came down her cheek as she bit into my neck and ripped away my flesh, exposing my pink muscles. She munched delighfully in agony. I could feel the pain she was feeling from the way her body trembled, but I felt no pain. I was soothing her, caressing her. I promised her I would do anything for her, and here I am providing her a meal. I smile and laugh as I pull her hair back and kiss her bloody lips. Sometime later I awaken from the leaf covered ground and sit up to see my love watching me. My movements were slow and my thoughts came through a cloud, but I knew one thing right away. I will be with my love forever. We took hands and walked out of the forest into the clearing, staggering each step of the way.
